What is an ISP:
An acronym for Internet Service Provider, an ISP provides access to the Internet. For a monthly fee, they provide a software package, username and password so the customer can then logon to the Internet and browse the World Wide Web and USENET. Most ISPs, if not all, also include connection and settings to send and receive e-mail. Dial-up ISPs provide an access phone number. Computers equipped with a modem connect at speeds under 53K (most often referred to as 56K). DSL (also phoneline based) and broadband Cable service provide much faster (from 4X to 100X) full time, always on, service for a higher fee. Broadband fees run from $29.95 to over $149.00 per month (average $49.95 - 59.95).
650 Dialup:
For $6.50 a month, you get unlimited Internet access, and 5 POP e-mail accounts with a total of 10 Megs of storage space. All that, plus 24/7 email, live chat and voice customer support. Just sign up and get unlimited Internet connection in no time.
